Sheffield Wet-Shaver Shopping 21-05-2011 - Truefitt & Hill: Authentic No. 10

New from Truefitt & Hill, and as far as I know (from reading forums such as The Shaving Room, mostly), distributed only through Boots the Chemists' shops - and not all of those.

I checked around our somewhat un-buffed Steel City, only to find this range of products available in the Meadowhall branch. Now that was a tense scene for me and my anxieties etc. The products, are in either  semi- fluorescent green boxes, or au naturel in their brown plastic containers (as far as I remember - and that could be faulty what with traumatic amnesia, etc...). While Boots did have the products included in their three for two promotions, I only got two...

Hey, I only wanted the two! OK?

Saturday Evening 21-05-2011

Le Tuft's bespoke Urban Hermit's Black & Blues shave set
Asco Blue & Red super stainless blade
Truefitt & Hill Authentic No. 10* shave cream
    MICAlum stick
    Thayers' Peach witch hazel
Truefitt & Hill Authentic No. 10* cologne/balm ASC

Crikey - wot a shave! ... and the T&H scent is light but for me, hard to describe; mossy woodsy scented?
    Maybe ...
Anyway, the cream was very luxurious, and didn't quit before the beard did - and the after-slip? Suh-weet.

*NOTE: The new Truefitt & Hill Authentic No 10 product range is the topic for the Sheffield Wet-Shaver Shopping post tonight.

The cologne/balm cream might be a bit greasy, but then again, tonight's spastic muscle/nerve twitches were mostly non-affecting, but one meant a double dose of ASC.
Still, it feels nice, and occupies the ol' sniffer without knocking the rest of the olfactory stimuli from nasal perceptuality.
          Wootness, eh?
